Step-by-Step Setup
- Plug In Sensor: Connect the PurpleAir Touch to power. Wait for the AQI LEDs on the display to light up.
- Connect to Sensor Wi-Fi: On your device, find and connect to the "PurpleAir-XXXX" network (XXXX is the last digits of your device ID).
- Open Configuration Page: A configuration page should open automatically. If not, open a browser and go to https://192.168.4.1.
- Navigate to Wi-Fi Settings: Click on the Wi-Fi Settings tab at the top of the page.
- Select Your Network: Choose your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter Password: Input your Wi-Fi password at the bottom and click Save.
- Verify Connection: Look for "WiFi Connected: Looking Good" message in the top bar.
- Register Sensor: Complete the PurpleAir registration process to add your sensor to the public map.

Troubleshooting
- Can't find PurpleAir network: The setup network only broadcasts when not connected to Wi-Fi. Power cycle the device.
- Configuration page won't load: Ensure you're connected to the PurpleAir network and type the address in the URL bar, not search.
- Sensor not on map: Complete the registration process. It may take a few minutes to appear.
- Older firmware: Devices with firmware prior to 4.11 show "AirMonitor_XXXX" instead of "PurpleAir-XXXX."
- Re-register sensor: If information was entered incorrectly, repeat the registration process with correct details.
