What You'll Need
- Reolink Duo 2 camera
- PoE connection or DC power adapter
- Ethernet cable
- Mounting bracket and screws
- Smartphone with Reolink app
- PoE switch or injector (for PoE setup)
- microSD card (optional, up to 256GB)
Step-by-Step Setup
- Plan camera placement: The Duo 2's dual-lens design provides ultra-wide 180° coverage. Position to maximize this panoramic view.
- Connect via PoE (recommended): Run an Ethernet cable from a PoE switch or injector to the camera. This provides both power and network connectivity.
- Alternative DC power: Connect the 12V DC adapter and a separate Ethernet cable for network.
- Wait for initialization: The camera takes about 30-60 seconds to boot. IR LEDs will briefly illuminate during startup.
- Download Reolink app: Install and sign in to your account.
- Add the camera: Tap "+" and scan the QR code or add manually with the UID.
- Set password: Create a secure password for the device.
- Mount the camera: Secure the mounting bracket, then attach the camera. The unique horizontal design should be mounted level for best panoramic results.
- Configure the stitched view: The app automatically combines both lenses into a seamless panoramic image. Adjust display settings as preferred.

Troubleshooting
- Image stitching visible: Some blending artifacts are normal where the two lenses meet. Adjust camera angle slightly if stitching line is distracting.
- One lens darker than other: Clean both lens covers. If one lens is facing a bright light source, adjust camera position. Check settings for both lenses.
- PoE not providing power: Duo 2 requires 802.3af PoE (15.4W). Some older switches may not provide sufficient power. Try a PoE injector rated for 15W+.
- High bandwidth usage: Dual 4K streams use significant bandwidth. Reduce bitrate in settings. Use sub-stream for remote viewing.
- Spotlight not activating: Enable spotlight in camera settings. Check motion detection is enabled. Verify trigger conditions (motion, schedule, etc.).
