Step-by-Step Setup
- Set Up Ring Alarm First: Ensure your Ring Alarm Base Station is working before adding the Outdoor Siren.
- Open Ring App: Tap Menu > Set up a Device > Security > Sirens > Outdoor Siren.
- Remove Mounting Bracket: Loosen the security screw on the bottom and slide off the bracket to access the QR code.
- Scan QR Code: Follow app prompts to scan the QR code on the device.
- Pull Battery Tab: Remove the battery tab when prompted to power on the siren.
- Run Communications Test: Press the Test button inside the battery compartment. Green LED = success, Red = move closer to Base Station.
- Choose Location: Select a visible spot within Z-Wave range of Base Station or Range Extender.
- Mount the Siren: Use the bracket as a template, drill holes, and secure with screws. Leave 1 inch clearance on all sides.

Troubleshooting
- Communications test fails (red): Move siren closer to Base Station or add a Ring Alarm Range Extender.
- Batteries must be installed: D batteries are required even when using plug-in adapter or solar panel.
- Power options: Use Ring Quick Release Battery Pack with Solar Panel, or Ring Plug-in Adapter (2nd Gen).
- Siren offline: Check battery level. Verify Base Station is connected. Re-run communications test.
- Factory reset: Remove batteries, wait 30 seconds, reinstall and re-pair through the Ring app.
