Step-by-Step Setup
- Unpack components: Lay out all sensors and identify each piece. Remove battery tabs from all sensors.
- Position Base Station: Place centrally in your home. It needs a power outlet but not necessarily internet for basic operation.
- Plug in Base Station: Connect power. The base station will guide you through setup with voice prompts.
- Insert Keypad batteries: Open the back panel of the Keypad and insert the included batteries.
- Power on Keypad: It will automatically connect to the Base Station. Follow voice prompts to set your PIN.
- Add Entry Sensors: Pull the battery tab. The base station will announce the sensor. Install on doors/windows using the included adhesive.
- Add Motion Sensors: Pull battery tab to activate. Mount in corners, 4-5 feet high, facing the room.
- Download SimpliSafe app: Install and create your account. Connect the system to your Wi-Fi for remote access.
- Name your sensors: Use the app to label each sensor (Front Door, Living Room, etc.).
- Test the system: Use test mode in the app to verify all sensors are working.

Troubleshooting
- Sensor not detected: Ensure battery tab is fully removed. Hold sensor near Base Station during initial detection. Replace battery if old.
- Keypad won't connect: Ensure Base Station is powered on first. Check keypad battery level. Move closer to Base Station.
- Base Station voice: "No link to dispatcher": This is normal without monitoring subscription. The alarm will still sound locally.
- False alarms: Adjust motion sensor placement. Don't point at windows or HVAC vents. Set entry delays appropriately.
- App can't connect: Ensure Base Station is connected to Wi-Fi. Check your internet connection. Re-enter Wi-Fi credentials in settings.
