What You'll Need
- Venstar ColorTouch T7900
- Screwdriver
- Smartphone with Skyport app
- Wi-Fi network (with optional Skyport Cloud Key)
Step 1: Turn Off Power
Shut off power to your HVAC system at the breaker before beginning installation.
Step 2: Remove Old Thermostat
Remove existing thermostat and note wire connections.
Step 3: Install Wall Plate
Mount the Venstar wall plate, running wires through the center opening.
Step 4: Connect Wiring
Connect your HVAC wires to the appropriate terminals. The T7900 supports most 24V systems.
Step 5: Attach Thermostat
Attach the thermostat to the wall plate. Restore power.
Step 6: Configure System
Use the touchscreen to configure your HVAC system type, fan settings, and preferences.
Step 7: Connect to Wi-Fi (Optional)
With the optional Skyport Cloud Key module, connect to Wi-Fi for remote access via the Skyport app.
