Step-by-Step Setup
- Install the Detector: Mount the smoke/CO detector on the ceiling using the included bracket and screws.
- Power On: Insert batteries or connect power. The LED will indicate the device is ready.
- Download App: Install TuyaSmart, Smart Life, or X-Sense Home Security app depending on your model.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the test/silence button for 3 seconds. The LED will flash red, then blue.
- Add Device in App: Tap (+) and navigate to Sensors > Sensor/Alarm (Wi-Fi).
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi password. If using dual-band router, ensure separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5GHz.
- Wait for Connection: The LED will flash blue rapidly when connected successfully.
- Name Your Detector: Assign a name and location for easy identification during alerts.

Troubleshooting
- LED flashes blue for 2 minutes: Connection failed. Re-enter pairing mode and try again.
- Can't connect to Wi-Fi: Create separate 2.4GHz SSID if your router uses combined dual-band.
- App won't find device: Ensure the detector is in pairing mode (flashing blue after red).
- Need base station: Some models (like SC07-MR) require X-Sense SBS50 Base Station for smart features.
- False alarms: Clean the detector with compressed air. Relocate away from kitchens and bathrooms if issues persist.
