Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download Amcrest Smart Home app: Install from your app store and create an account.
  2. Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker for your doorbell. Verify power is off.
  3. Remove existing doorbell: Unscrew and disconnect your old doorbell, keeping the wires accessible.
  4. Install mounting bracket: Position the bracket and secure with the provided screws. Use the angle wedge if needed.
  5. Connect wires: Attach the doorbell wires to the two terminal screws on the back of the AD410.
  6. Insert microSD card (optional): For local recording, insert a microSD card before mounting.
  7. Mount the doorbell: Attach the doorbell to the bracket and secure with the bottom screw.
  8. Restore power: Turn the circuit breaker back on. The doorbell will power up and the button will glow.
  9. Add device in app: Tap "+" and select "Video Doorbell AD410." Scan the QR code on the doorbell or packaging.
  10. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the app instructions to connect to your 2.4GHz network.

Troubleshooting

  • Doorbell not powering on: Check transformer output (16-24VAC required). Verify wire connections are tight. Test at the transformer with a multimeter.
  • Wi-Fi setup fails: Only 2.4GHz is supported. Move doorbell closer to router temporarily. Reset doorbell by holding the reset button for 10 seconds.
  • microSD card not detected: Format the card in FAT32 format. Use cards up to 256GB. Remove and reinsert the card.
  • Motion alerts not working: Enable human detection in settings. Adjust detection sensitivity. Check that notifications are enabled on your phone.
  • Chime not ringing: Enable mechanical chime in app settings. Ensure transformer provides sufficient power for both doorbell and chime.
