What You'll Need
- Aqara Smart Lock U200
- Compatible deadbolt lock

Step-by-Step Setup
- Check compatibility: Review the compatibility guide to ensure your deadbolt works with the U200.
- Select adapter: Choose the correct thumb turn adapter from the included set.
- Attach adapter to lock: Secure the adapter to the U200's motor shaft.
- Clean mounting area: Wipe the inside of your door around the deadbolt.
- Mount the U200: Position over your thumb turn. Use the strong adhesive or optional screw mount to secure.
- Insert batteries: Install the CR123A batteries in the unit.
- Download Aqara Home app: Install and sign in.
- Add the lock: Tap "+" → "Lock" → "Smart Lock U200." Follow Bluetooth pairing.
- Calibrate: Run the calibration to set lock and unlock positions.
- Enable Matter: In lock settings, enable Matter and scan the code with your Matter controller.
- Add Keypad (optional): Pair the external keypad for PIN code entry.

Troubleshooting
- Motor struggling: Recalibrate. Ensure thumb turn moves freely by hand. Check adapter fit is correct.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Clean the sensor. Re-enroll fingerprints. Register multiple angles of the same finger.
- Apple Home Key not working: Ensure iPhone has latest iOS. Remove and re-add Home Key in Wallet. Check NFC is enabled.
- Matter connection issues: Verify Thread border router is online. Regenerate Matter code in Aqara app. Re-pair if needed.
- Adhesive not holding: Surface must be clean. Use screw mount for heavy doors. Allow 24 hours for adhesive to fully cure.
