Step-by-Step Setup
- Install the Lock: Remove old deadbolt and install Yale Assure Lock 2 per included instructions.
- Insert Batteries: Install 4 AA batteries in the interior assembly.
- Download Yale Access App: Install from App Store or Google Play.
- Create Account: Sign up for a Yale account or log in.
- Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your phone for initial pairing.
- Add Lock: Tap (+) to add a new lock. Follow prompts to pair via Bluetooth.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: If your lock has a Wi-Fi module, follow prompts to connect to your network.
- Create Access Codes: Set up PIN codes for family members and guests.

Troubleshooting
- Bluetooth pairing fails: Keep phone within 30 feet of lock. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Wi-Fi not connecting: Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the door. Verify password is correct.
- Low battery: Replace all 4 batteries at once. Use high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Smart home integration: Link Yale Access account in Alexa, Google, or HomeKit apps.
- Factory reset: Remove batteries, hold reset button, reinstall batteries while holding.
