Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Install the Lock: Remove old deadbolt and install Yale Assure Lock 2 per included instructions.
  2. Insert Batteries: Install 4 AA batteries in the interior assembly.
  3. Download Yale Access App: Install from App Store or Google Play.
  4. Create Account: Sign up for a Yale account or log in.
  5. Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your phone for initial pairing.
  6. Add Lock: Tap (+) to add a new lock. Follow prompts to pair via Bluetooth.
  7. Connect to Wi-Fi: If your lock has a Wi-Fi module, follow prompts to connect to your network.
  8. Create Access Codes: Set up PIN codes for family members and guests.

Troubleshooting

  • Bluetooth pairing fails: Keep phone within 30 feet of lock. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Wi-Fi not connecting: Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the door. Verify password is correct.
  • Low battery: Replace all 4 batteries at once. Use high-quality alkaline batteries.
  • Smart home integration: Link Yale Access account in Alexa, Google, or HomeKit apps.
  • Factory reset: Remove batteries, hold reset button, reinstall batteries while holding.
