Installing Your August Wi-Fi Smart Lock (4th Gen)

What You'll Need

• Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt
• iPhone XS or later with iOS 15+ (for Home Key)
• Smartphone with Schlage Home app
• 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
• Phillips screwdriver
• HomeKit setup code (inside lock)

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Install Lock: Follow included instructions to install the deadbolt on your door.
2. Download Schlage Home App: Install from the App Store or Google Play.
3. Pair with App: Add the lock to the Schlage Home app first.
4. Add HomeKit: In Schlage Home, go to Works With > Add HomeKit.
5. Scan HomeKit Code: Tap your phone to the interior HomeKit label, or manually enter the code.
6. Enable Home Keys: When prompted, select "Yes" to use Home Keys.
7. Choose Express Mode: Optionally enable Express Mode to unlock without Face/Touch ID authentication.
8. Add to Wallet: Your digital home key is now in the Wallet app.
