Installing Your Blink Video Doorbell

What You'll Need

  • Blink Video Doorbell
  • Smartphone with Blink Home Monitor app
  • Amazon account
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
  • Two AA lithium batteries (for wire-free) or existing doorbell wiring
  • Sync Module (optional but recommended)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download Blink App: Install the Blink Home Monitor app. Sign in with Amazon account.
  2. Set Up Sync Module (Optional): If using, set up Sync Module first following module instructions.
  3. Turn Off Power (Wired): If connecting to existing doorbell wires, turn off circuit breaker.
  4. Add Doorbell: In the app, tap (+) > Blink Video Doorbell.
  5. Scan QR Code: Scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell.
  6. Insert Batteries or Wire: For wire-free, insert AA batteries. For wired, connect to existing wiring.
  7. Enter Pairing Mode: Press the button on the doorbell. Look for blinking blue and green lights.
  8. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow app prompts to connect to your 2.4GHz network.
  9. Mount Doorbell: Install using included mounting hardware.
