What You'll Need
- Fanimation Odyn Smart Ceiling Fan (installed)
- Smartphone with fanSync WiFi app
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
- Bluetooth enabled on phone
- Wall switch in ON position
Step-by-Step Setup
- Important: Wall switch controlling fan power MUST always be in the ON position. No dimmers allowed.
- Install fanSync Receiver: Wire the fanSync WiFi receiver into your ceiling fan's canopy (if not pre-installed).
- Download fanSync App: Install from Google Play or App Store.
- Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth in your phone's settings.
- Open App: Launch fanSync and create an account or log in.
- Add Device: Tap to add a new fan and follow pairing instructions.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz network and enter the password.
- Name Your Fan: Assign a name and complete setup.

Troubleshooting
- Setup timeout/fails: May be weak Wi-Fi signal. Contact provider and try pairing again.
- Fan not responding: Check phone has Wi-Fi or cellular signal. Verify operating software is current.
- Always keep wall switch ON: Turning off wall switch disconnects fan from network.
- No dimmer switches: Fan requires true on/off switch, not any type of dimmer.
- Voice assistant linking: Go to Settings > Connections in fanSync app to link Alexa, Google, or IFTTT.
