What's in the Box
Your Dyson Pure Cool TP07 package includes the purifier fan tower, the loop amplifier (top airflow section), a sealed HEPA and activated carbon filter (may be pre-installed), a remote control with a magnetized holder on the machine, and a quick-start guide. The TP07 is designed as a combined purifier and bladeless cooling fan, capable of projecting purified air across the room while capturing 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
Prerequisites
Before setting up your Dyson Pure Cool TP07, confirm the following:
- A nearby power outlet — the TP07 uses a mains power cord and has no battery option
- A location with adequate clearance: at least 12 inches on all sides to allow air intake from the base vents and projected airflow from the loop amplifier
- A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (the TP07 does not connect to 5 GHz bands)
- The MyDyson app (previously called Dyson Link) installed on your smartphone
- A registered Dyson account
Step-by-Step Setup
- Assemble the unit: If the loop amplifier is packaged separately, place the base unit on the floor and align the top section with the base column. Press the amplifier down until it seats firmly with a click. The connection is secure and magnetic.
- Check the filter: The TP07 uses a combined HEPA and activated carbon filter that wraps around the base. If it is not pre-installed, open the outer covers by pressing the release tabs on either side of the base. Insert the filter according to the directional arrows, then snap the covers back into place. Remember to remove any plastic wrapping from the filter before use.
- Place the purifier: Set the TP07 on a flat, stable surface. For maximum purification efficiency, position it in a central area of the room. Avoid tight corners or spots behind furniture where airflow would be restricted. The TP07 works well in living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.
- Plug in and power on: Connect the power cord to the base of the TP07 and plug it into a wall outlet. Press the power button on the machine or on the remote control. The LED display on the base will light up showing current air quality readings.
- Pair with the MyDyson app: Open the MyDyson app on your phone and tap "Add a machine." Select the TP07 from the product list. The app will guide you through pairing — it may use Bluetooth for the initial handshake, so make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Follow the prompts to enter the pairing code shown on the machine's display.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will prompt you to select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Once connected, the Wi-Fi symbol will appear on the purifier's display, confirming it is online.
- Calibrate the sensors: Let the TP07 run for approximately 20 to 30 minutes after initial setup. During this time, the built-in sensors will calibrate to your room's baseline air quality. Initial readings may fluctuate before stabilizing.
App Features and Smart Home Integration
The MyDyson app gives you full remote control over the TP07, including fan speed adjustment (1-10), oscillation angle (up to 350 degrees), Auto mode, Night mode, and scheduling. You can view real-time air quality data for PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, and NO2. The TP07 integrates with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. Link your Dyson account within the Alexa or Google Home app to enable voice commands such as "Turn on the fan" or "Set purifier to auto mode." For Apple users, create Siri Shortcuts within the MyDyson app for custom voice triggers.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the TP07 does not appear in the MyDyson app during pairing, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that you are within close range of the machine. If Wi-Fi connection fails, confirm your network is 2.4 GHz — many modern routers default to combined SSIDs that may direct the purifier to 5 GHz. If the air quality display shows dashes instead of readings, the sensors may still be calibrating or the filter may not be properly seated. Open the base covers and confirm the filter is installed correctly with no plastic wrapping remaining. The remote control uses a CR2032 battery — if it becomes unresponsive, replace the battery by twisting open the remote's back panel.
