What's in the Box

Your eufy Security Floodlight Cam E340 package includes the camera unit with dual floodlight heads, a mounting bracket, a junction box cover plate, wire nuts, screws, a reset pin tool, and a quick-start guide. The E340 features 3K resolution, 360-degree pan and tilt, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), a built-in siren, and both color night vision and infrared night vision modes. This camera requires hardwired power and replaces an existing outdoor floodlight fixture.

Prerequisites

Because the eufy Security Floodlight Cam E340 connects to your home's 110–240V AC electrical wiring, you must be comfortable working with household wiring or hire a licensed electrician. Turn off the breaker for the outdoor light circuit before beginning. Download the eufy Security app and create or sign into your eufy account. The E340 connects directly to your Wi-Fi network — no HomeBase is required. Have a screwdriver, wire strippers, wire nuts (extras included), and a non-contact voltage tester available.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn off the breaker controlling the outdoor light circuit. Use a voltage tester to confirm no power is flowing to the junction box wires.
  2. Remove your existing outdoor light fixture from the junction box.
  3. Attach the eufy Floodlight Cam E340 mounting bracket to the junction box. Thread the camera's wiring through the bracket.
  4. Connect the wires: black to black (hot), white to white (neutral), green or bare copper to ground. Secure each with wire nuts and wrap with electrical tape.
  5. Attach the junction box cover to protect the wiring from weather.
  6. Mount the camera unit onto the bracket. Adjust the two floodlight heads to illuminate your desired area — they articulate independently for customized coverage.
  7. Restore power at the breaker. The camera will power on and the status LED will begin flashing, indicating it is ready for app pairing.

App Pairing and Configuration

Open the eufy Security app, tap "+," and select "Floodlight Cam E340." Scan the QR code on the camera. Connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network — the E340 supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, so choose the 5 GHz band for faster video streaming if your signal is strong at the installation location. Configure motion detection zones, floodlight activation schedules (motion-triggered, dusk-to-dawn, or manual), and the 360-degree pan and tilt patrol route to automatically sweep the camera across your property at set intervals.

Smart Home Integration Tips

The eufy Security Floodlight Cam E340 works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. For Alexa, enable the eufy Security skill and use voice commands to turn floodlights on and off or view the live feed on Echo Show devices. With Google Home, stream the camera to Nest Hub displays. HomeKit integration allows the camera to appear in the Apple Home app, where you can create automations like turning the floodlights on when a HomeKit motion sensor detects activity. The 360-degree pan and tilt can be controlled from within any of these platforms.

Quick Troubleshooting

If the camera does not power on after restoring the breaker, recheck all wire connections in the junction box for loose wire nuts. If Wi-Fi connection is unstable, switch from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz, which has better range through exterior walls. If the pan and tilt motor does not rotate, perform a factory reset using the pin tool in the reset hole on the camera body, then re-pair through the app. Ensure the light switch controlling the circuit remains in the on position at all times, as the camera needs constant power to function.
