What's in the Box
Your eufy Security Video Doorbell S330 package includes the doorbell camera unit with dual-camera design (main lens plus a lower package-detection lens), a HomeBase S380, an Ethernet cable, a HomeBase power adapter, a mounting bracket, a wedge mount, a wiring harness, screws and wall anchors, a USB-C charging cable, and a quick-start guide. The S330 delivers 2K resolution on the main camera with a separate downward-facing lens for package detection, powered by BionicMind AI for facial recognition and delivery notifications.
Prerequisites
Download the eufy Security app and sign in or create an account. The Video Doorbell S330 requires the HomeBase S380 for local storage and AI processing. Set up the HomeBase first by connecting it to your router via Ethernet. The doorbell has a built-in rechargeable battery, so fully charge it via USB-C before installation (about five hours). Alternatively, if you have existing doorbell wiring (16–24V AC), you can wire it for continuous power. Have a drill, screwdriver, and optionally a multimeter ready.
Step-by-Step HomeBase Setup
- Place the HomeBase S380 near your router. Connect it with the Ethernet cable and plug in the power adapter.
- Wait for the LED to turn solid blue, confirming it is connected and powered.
- In the eufy Security app, tap "+" and add the HomeBase S380. Follow the on-screen instructions to register it.
Step-by-Step Doorbell Installation
- Fully charge the doorbell battery via USB-C if using battery power.
- If wiring the doorbell, turn off the breaker for the existing doorbell circuit. Remove the old doorbell and note the two wires.
- Mount the bracket to the wall at approximately four feet from the ground. This height optimizes both the main and lower camera views. Use the wedge mount if you need an angled view toward the walkway.
- For wired installations, connect the doorbell wires to the terminals on the mounting bracket using the wiring harness. Polarity does not matter for AC wiring.
- Snap the doorbell onto the bracket. Secure it with the locking pin at the bottom to prevent unauthorized removal.
- Restore the breaker if wiring was used.
App Pairing and Configuration
In the eufy Security app, tap "+" and select "Video Doorbell S330." Press the sync button on the doorbell to initiate pairing with the HomeBase. Once paired, configure both camera views. The main camera handles visitor identification and facial recognition through BionicMind AI — you can register familiar faces so the doorbell announces known visitors by name. The lower camera provides package detection with the "Delivery Guard" feature, which notifies you when a package is placed at or removed from your doorstep. Set motion zones for each camera and adjust sensitivity based on your front door traffic patterns.
Smart Home Integration Tips
The Video Doorbell S330 supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit through the HomeBase S380. With HomeKit, the doorbell appears as a video doorbell accessory with rich notifications showing snapshot thumbnails when visitors arrive. HomeKit Secure Video support provides iCloud-encrypted storage and Apple-native detection intelligence. Alexa integration enables doorbell press announcements on Echo devices and live feeds on Echo Show displays. Set up a Google Home routine to announce "Someone is at the door" on all Nest speakers when the doorbell is pressed.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the doorbell does not pair with the HomeBase, ensure the HomeBase LED is solid blue and position the doorbell within 15 feet during initial setup. If the lower package-detection camera shows a dark image, verify the bracket is not obstructing the lower lens — adjust the mounting height if needed. For wired installations where the doorbell reboots intermittently, test the transformer output with a multimeter and ensure it delivers at least 16V AC at 30VA. If BionicMind facial recognition is inconsistent, re-register faces in well-lit conditions and add multiple photos per person from different angles.
