What's in the Box
Your Eufy Video Doorbell Dual package includes the doorbell camera unit with its signature dual-camera design (one lens at eye level and one angled downward), a mounting bracket, a wedge mount, a rechargeable battery pack, a USB-C charging cable, a wiring harness, screws and wall anchors, and a quick-start guide. The dual-camera system provides a 2K top view and a separate lower camera that captures packages at your doorstep — eliminating the blind spot that plagues single-lens doorbells.
Prerequisites
Download the eufy Security app on your iOS or Android device. The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual requires a eufy HomeBase 2 or HomeBase S380 for operation — it does not connect directly to Wi-Fi like some other eufy doorbells. Ensure the HomeBase is set up and online before starting doorbell installation. Fully charge the doorbell battery using the USB-C cable, which takes approximately five hours. If using wired power (16–24V AC doorbell transformer), have a voltage tester, screwdriver, and wire nuts ready.
Step-by-Step Installation
- Charge the doorbell battery fully via USB-C. The battery is removable, so you can charge it without dismounting the doorbell in the future.
- If wiring, turn off the breaker for your existing doorbell circuit. Remove the old doorbell and disconnect the wires.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the wall at approximately four feet from the ground. This height optimizes both the upper and lower camera views. Use the wedge mount if your door frame requires an angled view toward the walkway.
- If wiring, connect the doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the mounting bracket using the wiring harness. Polarity does not matter for AC wiring.
- Insert the charged battery into the doorbell unit.
- Slide the doorbell onto the mounting bracket from the top. Secure it with the locking pin or screw at the bottom.
- Restore the breaker if using wired power.
App Pairing and Configuration
Open the eufy Security app, tap "+" to add a device, and select "Video Doorbell Dual." Press the sync button on the doorbell. The app will pair the doorbell with your HomeBase. Once paired, configure both camera views — the upper camera handles standard monitoring and person detection, while the lower camera provides package detection and a ground-level view. Set motion sensitivity and detection zones for each camera independently. Enable the "Delivery Guard" feature to receive specific notifications when packages are detected at your doorstep.
Smart Home Integration Tips
The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual integrates with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit through the HomeBase. When someone rings the doorbell, Alexa can announce it on all Echo devices and show the live feed on Echo Show displays. In HomeKit, the upper camera appears as a video doorbell accessory with snapshot notifications. For the best experience, enable HomeKit Secure Video for encrypted iCloud recording and Apple's on-device intelligence for person and package detection. Note that only the primary (upper) camera stream is available through HomeKit.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the doorbell does not pair with the HomeBase, make sure the HomeBase LED is solid blue and the doorbell is within 15 feet during initial setup. If the lower camera view is black, ensure the lower lens is not obstructed by the mounting bracket — adjust the bracket height if necessary. For wired installations that lose power intermittently, check that your transformer is at least 16V AC with a 30VA rating to handle the dual-camera power draw. If package detection is not working, verify "Delivery Guard" is enabled and the lower camera's detection zone covers your doorstep area.
