What's in the Box

Your Govee Smart Tower Fan package includes the tower fan unit, a base assembly, a remote control with battery, a power cord, and a quick start guide. The fan features multiple speed settings, oscillation, and a built-in timer. It connects via WiFi and Bluetooth to the Govee Home app, giving you full control from anywhere in your home or remotely when you are away.

Prerequisites

  • A smartphone with the Govee Home app installed (available on iOS and Android)
  • A stable 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz is not supported)
  • A Govee Home account created and verified
  • A nearby power outlet for the fan
  • Enough floor space for the fan and its oscillation range

Step-by-Step Physical Assembly

  1. Remove all components from the packaging and verify nothing is missing.
  2. Attach the base to the bottom of the tower fan body. Align the base plate with the slots on the fan and secure it by turning the locking mechanism clockwise until it clicks into place.
  3. Place the assembled fan on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet. Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow and oscillation.
  4. Plug the power cord into the fan and then into the wall outlet. The fan's display panel should briefly illuminate to indicate it has power.

App Pairing

  1. Open the Govee Home app and tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  2. Select your tower fan model from the device list, or use the scan feature to identify it via the QR code in the quick start guide.
  3. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. The fan will first pair via Bluetooth for initial setup.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the fan into pairing mode by pressing and holding the power button on the fan for five seconds until the WiFi indicator begins flashing.
  5. Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password. The app will complete the connection and confirm when the fan is online.
  6. Name the fan based on its room location for easier identification if you have multiple Govee devices.

Configuring Fan Settings

The Govee Home app gives you full control over fan speed, oscillation angle, operating mode, and timer settings. Use the normal mode for consistent airflow, natural mode for a breeze-like pattern that varies the speed, or sleep mode for a quiet, gradually decreasing airflow throughout the night. The built-in timer lets you schedule the fan to turn off after one to eight hours, which is useful for overnight cooling without running the fan all night.

Smart Home Integration Tips

The Govee Smart Tower Fan works with both Alexa and Google Assistant. After linking your Govee account in the Alexa or Google Home app, you can use voice commands such as "Alexa, turn on the bedroom fan" or "Hey Google, set the fan to speed 3." You can also create routines that turn the fan on automatically when the temperature in a room exceeds a certain threshold, especially if you pair it with a Govee WiFi Hygrometer Thermometer for temperature-triggered automations within the Govee Home app.

Quick Troubleshooting

If the fan does not pair, confirm that Bluetooth is active on your phone and that the fan's WiFi indicator is flashing. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network during setup. If the fan oscillation seems restricted, check that nothing is blocking its rotation path. For firmware updates, open the device settings in the Govee Home app and tap "Firmware Update" to ensure the fan is running the latest software for optimal performance and new features.
