Step-by-Step Setup

Direct Pairing (No Hub)

  1. Insert battery: Open dimmer back and insert CR2032 battery.
  2. Position bulb: Place TRADFRI bulb in fixture and turn on power.
  3. Enter pairing mode: Hold dimmer close to bulb (within 2 inches).
  4. Pair: Press and hold the pairing button on dimmer for 10 seconds until light pulses.
  5. Test: Use dimmer wheel to adjust brightness.

With DIRIGERA Hub (Recommended)

  1. Set up hub first: Add DIRIGERA to IKEA Home Smart app.
  2. Add dimmer: In app, tap "+" and select Remote/Dimmer.
  3. Put dimmer in pairing mode: Press pairing button 4 times quickly.
  4. Assign to device: Link dimmer to specific bulbs or rooms.

Troubleshooting

  • Not pairing: Ensure bulb is powered and within 2 inches. Try resetting bulb first.
  • Dim range limited: Some bulbs have built-in minimum. This is normal.
  • Battery dead: Replace CR2032 - twist back cover to access.
  • Lost connection after hub setup: Re-pair dimmer through app.
