Installing Your Level Lock+ (Plus)

What You'll Need

  • Level Lock+ (Plus)
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • CR2 battery (included)
  • iPhone with Level app (iOS required for setup)
  • Apple HomeKit-enabled home hub for remote access (optional)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download Level app: Install from App Store before beginning installation.
  2. Remove existing deadbolt: Unscrew both sides of your current deadbolt and remove completely.
  3. Check backset: Level Lock+ fits both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" backsets. Adjust if needed.
  4. Install the Level Lock: Insert the latch, then mount the exterior key cylinder and interior thumb turn.
  5. Connect mounting plates: Secure the interior side with the provided screws.
  6. Insert battery: Install the CR2 battery in the interior mechanism.
  7. Open Level app: Tap "+" to add a new lock and follow the pairing instructions.
  8. Calibrate the lock: The app will guide you through calibration to detect locked/unlocked positions.
  9. Set up HomeKit: If desired, add to Apple Home for Siri control and automations.

Troubleshooting

  • Lock not responding: Check CR2 battery level. Replace if low.
  • Calibration failing: Ensure the door is properly aligned and closes smoothly without resistance.
  • HomeKit not connecting: Make sure you have a HomeKit hub (Apple TV, HomePod) for remote access.
  • Auto-unlock not working: Check location permissions for the Level app and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
