What You'll Need
- Lockly Secure Pro smart lock
- Standard door prep (2-1/8" bore hole, 1" edge bore)
- 4 AA batteries (included)
- Smartphone with Lockly app
- Wi-Fi hub (included with some models, or sold separately for remote access)
- Screwdriver
Step-by-Step Setup
- Remove existing lock: Unscrew and remove your current deadbolt, keeping the strike plate if compatible.
- Install new strike plate: If needed, install the included strike plate in the door frame.
- Insert the exterior assembly: Feed the cable through the door bore hole. Position the exterior touchscreen on the outside of the door.
- Attach mounting plate: From inside, place the mounting plate over the protruding bolts and secure with screws.
- Connect interior assembly: Plug the cable into the interior assembly and attach it to the mounting plate.
- Install batteries: Open the interior battery cover and insert 4 AA batteries.
- Test manual operation: Turn the interior thumb turn to verify the deadbolt extends and retracts smoothly.
- Download Lockly app: Install and create an account.
- Add the lock: Tap "+" → "Secure Pro" → follow Bluetooth pairing instructions.
- Set up PIN shuffling: Create your first access code. The keypad numbers shuffle each time to prevent code detection.
- Set up Wi-Fi hub (optional): For remote access, plug in the Lockly hub and connect it to your Wi-Fi through the app.

Troubleshooting
- Keypad not responding: Check battery level. Clean touchscreen with soft dry cloth. Ensure exterior assembly cable is connected.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Re-enroll fingerprint in app. Clean the sensor. Register multiple angles of the same finger.
- Lock won't extend fully: Check door/frame alignment. Lubricate the bolt. Ensure strike plate hole is large enough.
- Bluetooth won't connect: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on phone. Stand within 3 feet of lock. Remove and re-pair in app if needed.
- Remote access not working: Verify Wi-Fi hub is online (solid blue LED). Check hub is within range of lock and router. Restart the hub.
