What You'll Need

  • Lockly Vision Elite smart lock
  • Standard door prep (2-1/8" bore hole, 1" edge bore)
  • 4 AA batteries (included)
  • Smartphone with Lockly app
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (built-in Wi-Fi)
  • Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Remove existing deadbolt: Unscrew and remove your current lock from both sides of the door.
  2. Install the strike plate: Position the included strike plate in the door frame. Ensure proper alignment for smooth bolt operation.
  3. Insert exterior assembly: Thread the cable through the door. Position the Vision Elite exterior assembly (with camera and touchscreen).
  4. Attach mounting plate: From inside, secure the mounting plate with the included screws.
  5. Connect interior assembly: Plug in the cable connector and attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate.
  6. Install batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries into the interior unit.
  7. Download Lockly app: Install and create your Lockly account.
  8. Add the lock: Tap "+" → "Vision Elite" and follow Bluetooth pairing prompts.
  9. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz network credentials for remote access and video doorbell features.
  10. Configure camera: Set up motion detection zones, notification preferences, and video recording settings.
  11. Create access codes: Set up PIN codes using the PIN Genie shuffling keypad.

Troubleshooting

  • Video not streaming: Check Wi-Fi connection strength. Ensure app has camera permissions. Restart the lock by removing batteries briefly.
  • Fingerprint fails: Clean the sensor with a dry cloth. Re-enroll fingerprints at different angles. Ensure finger is dry and positioned correctly.
  • Keypad unresponsive: Check battery level in app. Clean touchscreen. Verify exterior cable connection is secure.
  • Wi-Fi disconnects: Only 2.4GHz is supported. Check router distance. Consider a Wi-Fi extender for better signal at the door.
  • Motion alerts excessive: Adjust motion sensitivity in camera settings. Refine detection zones to exclude high-traffic areas.
