Installing Your Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt

What You'll Need

• Wyze Lock Bolt
• Smartphone with Wyze app
• Bluetooth enabled on phone
• 4 AA batteries
• Phillips screwdriver
• Wyze account

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Download Wyze App: Install from App Store or Google Play.
2. Create Account: Sign up for a Wyze account or log in.
3. Install Lock: Remove existing deadbolt and install Wyze Lock Bolt per instructions.
4. Insert Batteries: Install 4 AA batteries in the interior unit.
5. Add Device: In Wyze app, tap (+) > Add Device > Locks > Lock Bolt.
6. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is on. Hold phone near lock.
7. Register Fingerprint: Follow prompts to register your fingerprint on the sensor.
8. Calibrate Lock: Complete the lock/unlock calibration process.

Troubleshooting

• Bluetooth only: Lock Bolt uses Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. Phone must be nearby.
• Fingerprint not recognized: Clean sensor. Re-register fingerprint in different conditions.
• Calibration issues: Re-run calibration in app. Ensure deadbolt extends/retracts smoothly.
• Add Wyze Gateway: For remote access, add Wyze Lock Gateway (sold separately).
• Battery low: Replace all 4 batteries at once with quality AA batteries.
