- Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt
- Phillips head screwdriver

Step-by-Step Setup
- Remove existing deadbolt: Unscrew and remove your current lock completely.
- Install the latch: Insert the Schlage latch with the tapered side facing door close direction.
- Mount exterior assembly: Position the touchscreen keypad assembly outside and feed cable through.
- Connect interior assembly: Attach the interior unit and secure with mounting screws.
- Install batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries. Lock will beep and flash.
- Open Apple Home app: Tap "+" then "Add Accessory."
- Scan HomeKit code: Use camera to scan the 8-digit HomeKit code on the lock or packaging.
- Name and assign room: Give your lock a name and assign to a room.
- Create access codes: Use Schlage Home app to set up keypad codes (up to 30).
- Set up Apple Home hub: For remote access, ensure Apple TV or HomePod is configured as home hub.

Troubleshooting
- HomeKit pairing fails: Reset lock by removing batteries, hold Schlage button while reinstalling.
- No remote access: Ensure Apple Home hub (Apple TV/HomePod) is set up and connected.
- Touchscreen unresponsive: Clean screen with dry cloth. Check battery level.
- Codes not working: Verify code was saved in Schlage Home app. Check if code is scheduled/restricted.
