Installing Your Shelly Plus 2PM Smart Relay

What You'll Need

  • Shelly Plus 2PM Smart Relay
  • Screwdriver
  • Wire strippers
  • Voltage tester
  • Smartphone with Shelly app
  • 2.4GHz WiFi network

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Turn off power: Switch off circuit breaker.
  2. Access junction box: Remove cover to access wiring.
  3. Wire the relay: Connect L (Live), N (Neutral), O1 and O2 (Outputs), SW1 and SW2 (switch inputs).
  4. Select operating mode: 2PM works in relay mode (2 outputs) or cover/roller shutter mode.
  5. Position relay: Install behind a double switch or in junction box.
  6. Restore power: Turn breaker back on.
  7. Open Shelly app: Add device via Bluetooth or WiFi.
  8. Configure mode: Choose Relay (2 channels) or Cover (roller shutter) mode.
  9. Set up switches: Configure SW1 and SW2 for your switch types.

Troubleshooting

  • Cover calibration: In cover mode, run calibration to set travel limits.
  • Power readings wrong: Check CT clamp orientation if using external CT.
  • One channel not working: Verify output wiring. Check app for channel enable.
  • Overheating: Don't exceed 10A per channel. Ensure ventilation.
