What You'll Need

  • SwitchBot Lock Pro
  • CR123A batteries x2 (included) or rechargeable battery pack
  • Smartphone with SwitchBot app (v9.17 or newer)
  • SwitchBot Hub 2/Hub Mini for remote access and Matter (optional)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download SwitchBot app: Install latest version and sign in.
  2. Check compatibility: Lock Pro fits most thumb-turn deadbolts. Review the compatibility guide.
  3. Clean the surface: Thoroughly clean interior door where lock mounts.
  4. Select mounting bracket: Use Bracket A for ≥3mm cylinder overhang, Bracket B for <3mm.
  5. Attach bracket: Apply the 3M adhesive bracket or use screw mounting for extra security.
  6. Remove battery tab: Pull the isolation tab from the Lock Pro to power on.
  7. Mount Lock Pro: Blue LED will flash. Attach the lock body to the bracket.
  8. Pair in app: Tap +, select Lock Pro, and complete Bluetooth pairing.
  9. Calibrate positions: Follow the app to set locked/unlocked positions.
  10. Install door magnet: Attach the included magnet on the door frame to detect open/closed status.
  11. Set up Matter (optional): With Hub 2, enable Matter for Apple Home/Google Home integration.

Troubleshooting

  • Matter setup failing: Ensure Hub 2 firmware is updated. Use app v9.17+.
  • Lock not detected: Check battery installation. Blue LED should flash on power-up.
  • Door magnet not working: Reposition magnet closer to the lock. Check alignment.
  • Dual-lock sync issues: Ensure both locks are calibrated and within Bluetooth range.
