What You'll Need
- TP-Link Kasa 3-Way Switch Kit (HS210 KIT - 2 switches)
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Voltage tester
- Smartphone with Kasa Smart app
- 2.4GHz WiFi network
- Neutral wire at both locations
Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off power: Switch off circuit breaker for both switch locations.
- Identify switch types: One location has Line (from breaker), other has Load (to light). Label both.
- Remove existing 3-way switches: Unscrew and disconnect wires at both locations.
- Install at Location 1: Connect Line, traveler wires, Neutral, and Ground to first Kasa switch.
- Install at Location 2: Connect Load, traveler wires, Neutral, and Ground to second switch.
- Mount both switches: Secure and install wall plates.
- Restore power: Turn breaker back on.
- Set up in Kasa app: Add the primary switch (with Line wire) to app and WiFi.

Troubleshooting
- Switches not syncing: Verify traveler wires are connected correctly at both locations.
- Only one switch works: Check wiring diagram. Line and Load must be at correct locations.
- App shows one switch: Only the primary switch appears in app - this is normal for 3-way kit.
- Intermittent operation: Check all wire connections are secure. Verify neutral at both boxes.
