Installing Your Ultraloq U-Bolt Pro WiFi

What You'll Need

  • Ultraloq U-Bolt Pro WiFi
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • 4 AA batteries (included)
  • Smartphone with U-tec app
  • 2.4GHz WiFi network

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Check door compatibility: Requires 2-1/8" (54mm) diameter borehole. Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" (order thick door kit for 1-3/4" to 2-1/4").
  2. Remove existing deadbolt: Unscrew and remove your current lock.
  3. Install the latch: Insert the deadbolt latch with faceplate.
  4. Mount exterior assembly: Position the fingerprint reader/keypad assembly outside.
  5. Connect interior assembly: Feed the cable through, attach interior unit with mounting plate and screws.
  6. Install batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries in the interior compartment.
  7. Set lock orientation: Configure left-hand or right-hand door orientation on the lock.
  8. Download U-tec app: Install from App Store or Google Play.
  9. Pair lock: Enable Bluetooth, stay within 10 feet, and add the lock in the app.
  10. Connect WiFi: Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi credentials in the app (5GHz not supported).
  11. Register fingerprints: Add fingerprints for each user (up to 2 per user, 50 users max).

Troubleshooting

  • Fingerprint not recognized: Re-register the fingerprint. Ensure finger is clean and dry. Try different angles during registration.
  • WiFi not connecting: Confirm you're using 2.4GHz network. Check password accuracy.
  • Lock orientation wrong: Access settings to flip door handedness configuration.
  • Auto-unlock not working: Enable location services for U-tec app and calibrate geofence area.
