- Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus (Matter version)
- Standard door prep (2-1/8" bore, 1" edge bore)
- 4 AA batteries (included)
- Thread border router
- Smartphone with Yale Access app or Matter controller

Step-by-Step Setup
- Remove old lock: Unscrew and remove the existing deadbolt completely.
- Install the latch: Insert the Yale latch bolt into the door edge and secure.
- Position strike plate: Install the strike plate on the door frame.
- Install exterior assembly: Place the exterior keypad and pass the cable through the door.
- Attach interior assembly: Connect the cable and mount the interior unit with screws.
- Insert batteries: Install 4 AA batteries in the interior unit.
- Download Yale Access app: Create account and complete initial lock setup.
- Configure Wi-Fi: The Plus model includes built-in Wi-Fi for remote access without additional modules.
- Add to Matter: Use your Matter controller to scan the QR code and add the lock.
- Set up access codes and users: Create PIN codes and invite family members through the app.

Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi won't connect: Ensure 2.4GHz network is available. Move lock closer to router if signal is weak.
- Remote access not working: Check Wi-Fi connection status in Yale app. Verify internet is working.
- Matter and Wi-Fi both needed? Wi-Fi enables remote access. Matter provides local control and integration with other platforms.
- Battery draining fast: Wi-Fi uses more power than Thread-only. Expected battery life is 6-9 months with typical use.
- Notifications delayed: Check notification settings. Verify Yale Access app has background refresh enabled.
