- Bluetooth pairing fails
- App shows device offline
Solutions
- Enable Bluetooth - Ensure phone Bluetooth is on and Airthings app has Bluetooth permission.

Radon Readings Not Appearing
Symptoms
- Radon shows as "-" or zero
- Readings fluctuate wildly
- Values seem inaccurate
Solutions
- Wait for calibration - Radon sensor requires 7 days to provide reliable long-term readings.
- Check placement - Mount in lowest occupied floor, not in bathroom, kitchen, or near windows/doors.
- Stable location - Avoid moving the sensor after installation. Movement resets the radon baseline.
- Ventilation affects readings - High ventilation reduces radon. Closed spaces may show higher levels.
CO2 or VOC Readings Incorrect
Symptoms
- CO2 always shows low values
- VOC readings don't change
- Sensors show stale data
Solutions
- Calibration period - CO2 and VOC sensors need 7 days for initial calibration.
- Sync data - Wave the sensor to sync data via Bluetooth to the app.
- Hub connection - For continuous data, connect to Airthings Hub (sold separately) for WiFi sync.
- Battery level - Low batteries can affect sensor accuracy. Replace 2x AA batteries.
