Alfred smart locks offer keypad and app-based access. This guide covers connectivity and unlocking issues.

Lock Not Connecting to App

  1. Alfred uses Bluetooth for nearby control
  2. WiFi Bridge required for remote access
  3. Enable Bluetooth and location on phone
  4. Stand within 30 feet of lock
  5. Remove and re-pair lock in Alfred app

WiFi Bridge Setup

  1. Bridge plugs into power outlet near lock
  2. Bridge connects to 2.4GHz WiFi only
  3. LED indicates connection status
  4. Bridge enables Alexa/Google/remote control
  5. Keep bridge within 20 feet of lock

Keypad Not Responding

  1. Wake keypad by pressing any key first
  2. Check batteries (4x AA)
  3. Clean keypad with dry cloth
  4. Try master code to verify function
  5. Factory reset: Follow manual procedure

Auto-Lock Not Working

  1. Enable auto-lock in Alfred app settings
  2. Set auto-lock delay (30-300 seconds)
  3. Check door closes completely
  4. Deadbolt may need alignment adjustment
  5. Disable/re-enable to reset feature

Voice Control

  1. Requires WiFi Bridge for voice assistants
  2. Link Alfred account in Alexa/Google app
  3. "Alexa, lock front door"
  4. PIN required for unlocking via voice (security)
  5. Some commands may require specific phrasing

User Code Management

  1. Create guest codes in app with schedules
  2. One-time codes for delivery access
  3. View access history in app
  4. Delete codes when no longer needed
  5. Maximum users depends on model
