Dreo makes smart fans and humidifiers with app control. This guide covers connectivity and operation issues.
Device Not Connecting to WiFi
- Dreo devices require 2.4GHz WiFi network
- Put device in pairing mode (WiFi button until blinking)
- Grant location permission to Dreo app
- Keep phone near device during setup
- Try setup with mobile hotspot as test
App Shows Device Offline
- Check device is powered on and connected
- Verify WiFi network is operational
- Power cycle device by unplugging 30 seconds
- Re-add device in Dreo app if persistent
- Check for app updates in store
Smart Tower Fan Issues
- Oscillation motor may need reset (power cycle)
- Clean air intake vents for proper airflow
- Remote uses CR2025 battery
- Fan speed not changing = check child lock
- Timer can be set via app or remote
Humidifier Not Producing Mist
- Check water tank is properly seated
- Fill tank with clean, room temperature water
- Clean ultrasonic transducer plate
- Check humidity target isn't already met
- Descale tank if mineral buildup visible
Humidifier Auto Mode Issues
- Auto mode uses built-in humidity sensor
- Sensor may need calibration period
- Target humidity adjustable in app
- Place away from walls for accurate reading
- Clean sensor opening periodically
Voice Control Not Working
- Link Dreo account in Alexa/Google app
- Discover devices after linking
- Use device name as set in Dreo app
- Say "Turn on [device name]" or "Set fan to high"
- Re-link skill if commands fail
