The Dreo Smart Tower Fan offers WiFi connectivity with app and voice control. This guide covers connectivity, control, and mechanical issues.

Fan Not Connecting to WiFi

Symptoms

  • LED doesn't enter pairing mode
  • App can't find fan
  • Connection times out

Solutions

  1. 2.4GHz network - Dreo fans only support 2.4GHz WiFi networks.
  2. Use Dreo app - Download the official Dreo Home app for setup.
  3. Reset WiFi - Hold WiFi button for 5 seconds until LED flashes rapidly.
  4. Enable permissions - Allow app access to Bluetooth and location during setup.
  5. Router proximity - During setup, keep fan within 30 feet of your router.

Oscillation Not Working

Symptoms

  • Fan won't oscillate when enabled
  • Oscillation range limited
  • Grinding noise during oscillation

Solutions

  1. Check setting - Verify oscillation is enabled in app or via remote/button.
  2. Clear obstruction - Ensure nothing is blocking the fan's rotation path.
  3. Level surface - Place fan on flat, stable surface. Uneven surfaces affect oscillation.
  4. Motor issue - Grinding noises may indicate motor problem. Contact Dreo support.

Speed and Mode Issues

Symptoms

  • Can't change speed
  • Natural/Sleep mode not different
  • Remote not responding

Solutions

  1. Check mode first - Some modes (Sleep) limit speed range. Switch to Normal mode.
  2. App sync - If remote works but app doesn't, restart app or re-add fan.
  3. Remote battery - Replace CR2025 battery in remote control.
  4. Firmware update - Check Dreo app for fan firmware updates.

Timer and Schedule Issues

Symptoms

  • Timer doesn't turn off fan
  • Scheduled on/off not working
  • Wrong time displayed

Solutions

  1. Verify timer set - Check app to confirm timer duration is correctly set.
  2. Time zone - Ensure correct time zone in Dreo app settings.
  3. Internet required - Schedules require internet connection. Timer works offline.
  4. Power interruption - Timer resets if fan loses power.

Voice Control

Symptoms

  • Alexa/Google can't find fan
  • Voice commands ignored
  • Only on/off works, not speed

Solutions

  1. Link Dreo account - Enable Dreo skill in Alexa or link in Google Home.
  2. Discover devices - After linking, say "Alexa, discover my devices."
  3. Speed commands - Try "Set fan to level 3" or "Set fan speed to medium."
  4. Re-link if needed - Unlink and re-link account if commands stop working.
