Elgato Stream Deck Not Connecting or Button Issues

Elgato Stream Deck can control smart home devices via plugins. This guide covers connectivity and button issues.

Stream Deck Not Detected

1. Try different USB port (prefer USB 3.0)
2. Avoid USB hubs - connect directly to computer
3. Update Stream Deck software to latest version
4. Reinstall USB drivers from Elgato support
5. Check Device Manager for error indicators

Buttons Not Responding

1. Clean LCD buttons with microfiber cloth
2. Restart Stream Deck application
3. Check action is properly configured
4. Verify associated application is running
5. Reset button by removing and re-adding action

Home Assistant Integration

1. Install Home Assistant plugin from Elgato store
2. Create long-lived access token in HA
3. Enter HA URL (use local IP for reliability)
4. Actions can call HA services directly
5. Use Multi Action for complex automations

Display Issues

1. Adjust LCD brightness in settings
2. Screensaver mode causes blank display
3. Update profile to refresh button images
4. Check USB cable is fully connected

Stream Deck + Dial Issues
