Lights Not Connecting to WiFi

Symptoms

  • Light blinks but won't connect
  • App can't find device
  • Setup times out

Solutions

  1. 2.4GHz network only - Feit smart lights only support 2.4GHz WiFi.
  2. Use Feit Electric app - Download official Feit Electric app for setup.
  3. Reset light - Turn on/off 3 times quickly until light blinks rapidly.
  4. Enter pairing mode - Rapid blinking indicates ready to pair. Slow blink means try reset.
  5. Check password - WiFi passwords are case-sensitive.

Flood Light Installation Issues

Symptoms

  • Light won't turn on at all
  • Motion sensor not working
  • Dusk-to-dawn not activating

Solutions

  1. Wiring check - Verify hot, neutral, and ground wires are connected correctly.
  2. Motion settings - Configure motion sensitivity and range in app.
  3. Photocell - Dusk-to-dawn uses light sensor. Ensure it's not blocked or disabled.
  4. Test mode - Use test mode in app to verify motion sensor function.

String Lights Issues

Symptoms

  • Part of string not lighting
  • Colors not matching
  • String won't dim

Solutions

  1. Check connections - Ensure all connectors are firmly seated.
  2. Bulb check - Replace any burned out bulbs in the string.
  3. Color sync - In app, select all zones for uniform color changes.
  4. Dimming range - Some outdoor strings have limited dimming range.

Voice Control

Symptoms

  • Alexa/Google can't find lights
  • Voice commands not working
  • Wrong light responds

Solutions

  1. Link Feit account - Enable Feit Electric skill in Alexa or link in Google Home.
  2. Discover devices - After linking, discover devices in voice assistant.
  3. Rename lights - Give clear, unique names like "Front Porch Light."
  4. Re-link if needed - Unlink and re-link account if control stops working.

Scheduling Issues

Symptoms

  • Schedule not running
  • Wrong times
  • Sunrise/sunset incorrect

Solutions

  1. Time zone - Verify correct time zone in Feit app settings.
  2. Location - For sunrise/sunset, enable location access for accurate times.
  3. Internet required - Schedules need internet connection to trigger.
  4. Multiple schedules - Check for conflicting schedules that override each other.
