Problem Description
Your Mysa Smart Thermostat for Electric Baseboard is not controlling your heater, not connecting to WiFi, or showing incorrect temperature readings.
Common Causes
- Incorrect wiring for your heater type
- WiFi connection lost
- Voltage mismatch (120V vs 240V)
- Temperature sensor placement issue
- Heater relay stuck
Solutions
1. Verify Voltage Match
- Check your heater voltage (120V or 240V)
- Mysa comes in different models for each voltage
- Using wrong voltage will damage thermostat
- Verify at breaker panel if unsure
2. Check Wiring
- Line wires connect to LINE terminals
- Load wires connect to LOAD terminals
- Wire colors vary by installation
- Ensure connections are tight
3. Reconnect WiFi
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds
- Mysa will enter setup mode
- Open Mysa app and follow reconnection steps
- Select your 2.4GHz network
4. Test Heater Directly
- Turn breaker off
- Bypass thermostat by connecting line to load directly
- Turn breaker on briefly to test if heater works
- If heater works, issue is thermostat or wiring
- Turn off breaker and reconnect thermostat
5. Calibrate Temperature
- Place thermometer near Mysa
- Compare readings after 15 minutes
- Adjust offset in app if needed
- Keep Mysa away from drafts and sunlight
6. Factory Reset
- Press and hold button for 15 seconds
- Display will show reset confirmation
- Set up again in Mysa app
