Nuki Smart Lock offers retrofit smart lock installation without replacing existing cylinder. This guide covers issues.

Lock Not Pairing

  1. Use Nuki app for setup
  2. Bluetooth required on phone
  3. Stand close to lock during pairing
  4. Follow calibration steps
  5. Factory reset: Remove batteries, hold button

Calibration Issues

  1. Lock learns door travel distance
  2. Run calibration multiple times if needed
  3. Adjust mounting if lock struggles
  4. Ensure key turns smoothly manually
  5. Lubricate cylinder if stiff

WiFi Bridge Setup

  1. Bridge enables remote access
  2. Connects to 2.4GHz WiFi
  3. Place within Bluetooth range of lock
  4. Enables Alexa, Google, remote unlock
  5. Required for away-from-home control

Auto-Unlock Not Working

  1. Based on phone Bluetooth/GPS
  2. Enable location services
  3. Configure geofence in app
  4. Phone must be detected leaving area
  5. Works when approaching home

HomeKit Setup

  1. Requires WiFi Bridge for HomeKit
  2. Add via Home app using code
  3. Lock/unlock and status in Home
  4. Automate with other devices
  5. Works alongside Nuki app

  1. 4x AA batteries
  2. Battery life 4-12 months
  3. Low battery warning in app

  5. Lock still works manually when dead
