Problem Description
Your Sensi Touch Smart Thermostat is not connecting to WiFi, showing offline in the Sensi app, or not responding to remote temperature changes.
Common Causes
- WiFi credentials changed
- Thermostat out of WiFi range
- Network requires 2.4GHz (5GHz not supported)
- Router security settings blocking connection
- App needs re-authentication
Solutions
1. Check WiFi Status on Thermostat
- Tap the WiFi icon on the thermostat display
- Check if it shows connected or searching
- Signal strength bars indicate connection quality
2. Verify Network Requirements
- Must be 2.4GHz network (5GHz not supported)
- WPA/WPA2 security required
- Network name should not have special characters
- Password limited to certain lengths
3. Reconnect to WiFi
- On thermostat, tap Menu then WiFi
- Select your network from available networks
- Enter password using on-screen keyboard
- Wait for connection confirmation
4. Check Router Settings
- Disable AP isolation if enabled
- Ensure MAC filtering is not blocking thermostat
- Check that DHCP has available addresses
- Try temporarily disabling firewall
5. Re-register in Sensi App
- Open Sensi app
- Delete the thermostat from your account
- Tap Add Thermostat
- Follow the setup process to re-add
6. Power Cycle Thermostat
- Remove thermostat from wall plate
- Wait 30 seconds
- Reinstall on wall plate
- Wait for it to boot and reconnect
7. Factory Reset
- Go to Menu then About
- Select Reset then Factory Reset
- Confirm the reset
- Set up thermostat again from scratch

Contact Sensi/Emerson Support if the display is not working, HVAC is not responding, or you see persistent error codes.
