Problem Description
Your Yeelight Smart LED Bulb 1S Color is not connecting to WiFi, not appearing in the Yeelight app, flickering, or not responding to commands.
Common Causes
- Bulb needs 2.4GHz WiFi (5GHz not supported)
- Bulb not in pairing mode
- WiFi password issues
- Dimmer switch compatibility
- Power supply fluctuations
Solutions
1. Reset Bulb to Pairing Mode
- Turn bulb off then on 5 times quickly
- Each on/off cycle should be about 1 second
- Bulb will flash to indicate pairing mode
- Open Yeelight app and add device
2. Verify WiFi Network
- Must be 2.4GHz network
- WPA2 security works best
- Network name should not have special characters
- Keep phone close to bulb during setup
3. Fix Flickering Issues
- Do not use with dimmer switches (causes flickering)
- Install on standard on/off switch only
- Check for loose socket connection
- Try bulb in different fixture
4. Update Firmware
- Once connected, go to bulb settings
- Check for firmware updates
- Install updates for best performance
- Keep bulb powered during update
5. Check HomeKit/Voice Assistant
If bulb works in app but not with voice:
- Unlink Yeelight from HomeKit or Alexa
- Re-link the account
- Run device discovery
- Rename bulb to simple name
