Your Zooz ZEN76 Z-Wave Plus 700 S2 Switch is not pairing with your hub, showing as offline, or not responding to commands from your smart home system.

Common Causes

  • Switch not in inclusion mode
  • Z-Wave hub out of range
  • Previous pairing not removed (exclusion needed)
  • Incorrect wiring
  • Hub firmware needs updating

Solutions

1. Exclude Before Including

  1. Put your Z-Wave hub in exclusion mode
  2. On the switch, tap UP paddle 3 times quickly
  3. Wait for hub to confirm exclusion
  4. Then proceed with inclusion

2. Include the Switch

  1. Put your Z-Wave hub in inclusion/pairing mode
  2. On the switch, tap UP paddle 3 times quickly
  3. LED will blink indicating inclusion mode
  4. Wait for hub to discover and add the switch

3. Check Wiring

  • Line (hot) wire connects to LINE terminal
  • Load wire connects to LOAD terminal
  • Neutral wire connects to NEUTRAL terminal
  • Ground wire connects to GROUND
  • Ensure all connections are secure

4. Improve Z-Wave Range

  • Z-Wave has about 100 foot range
  • Add more Z-Wave devices to create mesh
  • Powered devices act as repeaters
  • Run network repair/heal on your hub

5. Factory Reset

  1. Hold DOWN paddle while turning breaker on
  2. Keep holding for 10 seconds
  3. LED will flash indicating reset
  4. Exclude from hub and re-include
