Zooz Z-Wave Device Troubleshooting
Zooz makes Z-Wave Plus 700 series devices known for their advanced features and Home Assistant compatibility. All devices require a Z-Wave hub.

- Tap the paddle or button on the Zooz device 3 times quickly
- Wait for exclusion confirmation
- Now attempt to pair
Inclusion Steps
- Put your Z-Wave hub in "inclusion" or "add device" mode
- Tap the paddle 3 times quickly (or follow device-specific instructions)
- LED will flash to indicate pairing mode
- Wait up to 30 seconds for the hub to discover it
S2 Security Pairing
Zooz 700 series devices support S2 security:
- Enter the 5-digit DSK code from the device label if prompted
- S2 provides encrypted communication
- If S2 fails, the device will fall back to non-secure pairing
Device Not Responding
- Check that manual control still works (tap the paddle)
- Verify the device appears in your hub's device list
- Run a Z-Wave network repair/heal
- For switches: check the air gap isn't pulled out

Zooz devices support central scene and direct association:

- Energy data available in your hub's dashboard
