SwitchBot Lock

The SwitchBot Lock transforms existing deadbolts into smart locks by attaching to the interior thumb-turn, adding remote access, auto-unlock, and voice control without replacing your door hardware. This retrofit approach lets you keep your existing keys and exterior appearance while gaining full smart lock functionality.

The motor unit attaches to the interior side of your door over the existing thumb-turn using 3M adhesive and adapter plates. It mechanically rotates the thumb-turn to lock and unlock your door, preserving the original key cylinder for manual access. The compact design accommodates most single-cylinder deadbolts.

Bluetooth connectivity enables app control and auto-unlock based on phone proximity. Adding a SwitchBot Hub (sold separately) enables WiFi connectivity for remote access from anywhere, plus voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant. With Hub 2, Matter support adds Apple HomeKit integration.

The SwitchBot app provides features including auto-lock timing, schedules, activity logs, and integration with SwitchBot Keypad (sold separately) for PIN code entry. Multiple users can be authorized with different access levels. Battery-powered operation (2 CR123A batteries) provides months of use with low-battery alerts. Works with SwitchBot Contact Sensor for door-ajar notifications.
