The Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 is a smart thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) that brings intelligent heating control to homes with radiator-based heating systems. Designed to fit most European radiator valves with an M30x1.5mm threaded connection, the thermostat includes adapters for RA, RAV, and RAVL valve types, ensuring broad compatibility. The device features a premium LCD display with backlight that clearly shows current status and temperature settings, making it easy to monitor and adjust heating manually when desired.

Using Zigbee 3.0 protocol for energy-efficient wireless communication, the E1 can receive temperature readings directly from a connected Aqara temperature and humidity sensor placed in another corner of the room, providing more accurate climate control than relying solely on the valve's built-in sensor. When paired with Aqara door and window sensors or motion sensors, the thermostat can automatically turn off heating when it detects an open door or window, or when no motion is detected for a configurable period, maximizing energy efficiency.

The thermostat supports geofencing functionality, allowing it to begin heating before you arrive home, with independent automation support for multiple homes. Powered by two 1.5V AA batteries, the E1 delivers up to one year of battery life based on typical usage patterns of 8 operations per day during 165 heating days and once every 2 weeks during 200 non-heating days. The device is compatible with thermostatic valves only and does not support manual valves, return temperature limiters, or monotube radiator systems.
