The Aqara Smart Lock U100 is a feature-rich smart deadbolt that combines biometric fingerprint unlocking with Apple Home Key support, making it one of the most versatile smart locks for Apple ecosystem users in North America. The high-precision fingerprint reader delivers a 98.6% accuracy rate and can store up to 50 fingerprints locally, with all sensitive biometric data stored exclusively on the device for maximum security. The fingerprint sensor, combined with the backlit touchscreen keypad, provides quick and reliable access options for the whole family.

The U100 supports an impressive nine unlock methods: fingerprint, passwords (ordinary, one-time, and periodic), HomeKit/Siri (via Bluetooth, remote, or Apple Home Key), Aqara Home app, Google Home/Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, NFC cards (Aqara and Mifare M1), integration unlock via Aqara G4 doorbell, and mechanical key. Built on Zigbee protocol, the lock connects to Matter ecosystems through compatible Aqara hubs in a Matter over Zigbee configuration. Apple Home Key adds a digital key to the Wallet app on iPhone (iOS 15+) and Apple Watch (watchOS 8+) for convenient NFC tap-to-unlock functionality.

The lock body features a durable zinc alloy construction with IP65 weatherproof rating, making it suitable for exterior doors exposed to rain and temperature extremes from -31 to 151 degrees Fahrenheit. Powered by 4 AA batteries with up to 8 months of battery life, the U100 includes a USB-C emergency charging port. While the lock works locally without a hub for keypad, fingerprint, key, and NFC functions, adding an Aqara hub enables remote control, automations, voice assistant integration, and Matter connectivity with Home Assistant.
