Wyze Motion Sensor v2

The Wyze Motion Sensor v2 detects movement within its coverage area to trigger alerts and automations throughout your Wyze smart home ecosystem. The compact passive infrared (PIR) sensor monitors for heat signatures from people and pets, triggering notifications and Wyze Rules when activity is detected.

This sensor requires a Wyze Hub (sold separately) for operation, connecting via a proprietary wireless protocol optimized for battery life and reliable range throughout your home. The hub bridges sensor data to your WiFi network for app access, cloud features, and integration with other Wyze products. Multiple sensors can connect to a single hub for whole-home motion monitoring.

The Wyze app provides real-time motion alerts, adjustable sensitivity levels, scheduling for when detection is active, and detailed event history. Create powerful automations with Wyze Rules—turn on lights when motion is detected in hallways, trigger camera recording when basement motion occurs, or send alerts when motion is detected while you're away.

The compact design includes a magnetic base for flexible positioning on shelves, furniture, or the included stand. The wide 120° detection angle covers large areas while the adjustable sensitivity helps reduce false triggers from pets or environmental factors. Battery-powered operation provides approximately one year of use. Note that Wyze sensors work only within the Wyze ecosystem and do not support HomeKit, SmartThings, or other platforms.
