The GE CYNC Smart Plug provides basic smart outlet control with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity in a compact design that allows two plugs to be used on a standard duplex outlet. Control lamps, fans, and small appliances through the Cync app or voice commands without replacing existing hardware.

WiFi connectivity (2.4GHz) enables remote control through the Cync app from anywhere, while Bluetooth provides local control and initial setup. The plug works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control. Note that this basic model may not include Matter certification—newer Matter-enabled versions are available for HomeKit compatibility.

The compact form factor sits flush against the wall without blocking adjacent outlets. The 15-amp capacity handles most household devices. LED indicator shows power status while the physical button enables manual control. Simple setup through the Cync app requires no hub or additional hardware.

Scheduling and timer features automate device operation based on time, while grouping allows coordinated control of multiple plugs. Create routines that turn on coffee makers before you wake or ensure devices turn off at bedtime. Integration with other Cync devices enables whole-home automation scenarios.
