The Google Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen) learns your schedule and temperature preferences over time, automatically creating a personalized heating and cooling schedule without programming. The iconic circular design with high-resolution display has defined the smart thermostat category since its introduction.

The learning algorithm observes when you're home, when you adjust temperature, and your comfortable ranges, building a schedule that maximizes comfort while optimizing energy use. Home/Away Assist uses phone location and built-in sensors to save energy when you leave and prepare comfortable temperatures before you return.

WiFi connectivity enables remote control through the Nest app and integration with Google Home for voice commands through Google Assistant. The thermostat also works with Amazon Alexa for voice control across platforms. Compatibility covers most 24V heating and cooling systems.

The premium metal construction and Farsight feature lights up to show you the time or temperature as you approach. Energy History shows heating and cooling usage patterns to help optimize efficiency. Seasonal Savings learns your preferences and automatically adjusts to save energy during peak times. Note that this 3rd generation model does not include Matter support—the newer 4th generation adds Matter certification.
