The kit includes a Smart Thermostat with LED matrix display, Internet Bridge for ethernet connection to your router, and all necessary mounting hardware. The thermostat features capacitive touch controls and an ultra-precise temperature sensor accurate to 0.01°C, operating on 3 AAA batteries with approximately 2-year life.

The system communicates via 868 MHz mesh networking (6LoWPAN) with TLS 1.2 and AES encryption for security. Geofencing technology automatically reduces heating when everyone leaves and predictively warms your home before you return, saving up to 28% on energy costs. Open Window Detection pauses heating without requiring additional sensors, while Indoor Climate Monitoring provides insights on temperature, humidity, and mold risk. The Energy Insights feature offers real-time visibility into energy usage and costs powered by tado's AI.

Full integration with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT enables voice control and cross-platform automation. The tado app supports up to 100 users and 25 devices per home, with multi-room control available through additional Smart Radiator Thermostats.
