Wyze Entry Sensor v2

The Wyze Entry Sensor v2 monitors the open/closed status of doors, windows, cabinets, and other openings to trigger alerts and automations throughout your Wyze smart home ecosystem. The two-piece magnetic design consists of a sensor unit and magnet that communicate their separation status to the Wyze Hub for smart home integration.

This sensor requires a Wyze Hub (sold separately) for operation—it cannot function independently. The hub communicates with sensors using a proprietary wireless protocol optimized for battery life and range, then connects to your WiFi network for app access and automations. Multiple sensors can connect to a single hub for comprehensive home monitoring.

The Wyze app provides real-time status monitoring, notification alerts when sensors trigger, and detailed history logs showing all open/close events with timestamps. Use the sensors with Wyze Rules to trigger automations—turn on lights when doors open, arm cameras when everyone leaves, or receive alerts when the garage door is left open.

The compact design installs easily with included adhesive strips on door frames, window sashes, cabinets, and more. Battery-powered operation provides approximately one year of use with replaceable coin cell batteries. Note that the Wyze ecosystem is self-contained—these sensors require a Wyze Hub and do not integrate with Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, or other third-party platforms.
