What's in the Box

Your Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni package includes the robot vacuum and mop unit, the OMNI Station (all-in-one auto-empty and auto-wash dock), a dust bag pre-installed in the station, two mop pads (pre-attached to the robot), a side brush (pre-installed), a cleaning solution bottle, a power cord for the station, and a quick-start guide. The X2 Omni features a square design for better edge and corner cleaning and uses Ecovacs' AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance technology.

Prerequisites

Before setting up your Deebot X2 Omni, make sure you have the following in place:

  • A flat, hard surface near a wall outlet for the OMNI Station — the dock requires approximately 24 inches of space on each side and 36 inches in front for the robot to navigate in and out
  • Access to a water source for filling the station's clean water tank
  • A stable Wi-Fi network on the 2.4 GHz band (the X2 Omni does not support 5 GHz)
  • The ECOVACS HOME app installed on your iOS or Android device
  • An ECOVACS account (created for free in the app)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Position the OMNI Station: Place the station against a wall on a flat, hard surface. Avoid carpet or uneven flooring under the dock. Leave at least 2 feet of clearance on either side and 3 feet in front. Plug the station's power cord into a wall outlet and turn it on — the indicator lights will illuminate.
  2. Fill the clean water tank: Remove the clean water tank from the back of the OMNI Station. Fill it with tap water up to the maximum line. Optionally, add the included Ecovacs cleaning solution to the designated compartment. Reinsert the tank into the station.
  3. Prepare the robot: Remove all protective packaging, stickers, and foam inserts from the robot. Confirm the side brush is installed and the two mop pads are attached to the bottom of the unit. Flip the robot over briefly to verify nothing is blocking the brushes or wheels.
  4. Place the robot on the dock: Set the Deebot X2 Omni on the OMNI Station's charging plate, aligning the charging contacts on the bottom of the robot with the dock's contacts. The robot will begin charging automatically. Allow it to charge fully before the first cleaning session (typically 2-3 hours for a full charge).
  5. Download and open the app: Launch the ECOVACS HOME app on your phone. Sign in or create a new account. Tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  6. Connect the robot to Wi-Fi: Select "Deebot X2 Omni" from the device list in the app. Follow the prompts to put the robot into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding the auto button on the robot until it beeps). The app will guide you to connect the robot to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network by entering your password.
  7. Run the initial mapping clean: Once connected, start the first cleaning session from the app. The X2 Omni will systematically navigate your home using its LiDAR and camera sensors to build a detailed map. This first run focuses more on mapping than deep cleaning — allow the robot to access all rooms you want included in the map.
  8. Customize your map: After the mapping run, open the map in the ECOVACS HOME app. You can rename rooms, set virtual boundaries (no-go zones), define mopping-only or vacuuming-only areas, and set room-specific cleaning preferences such as suction power and water flow levels.

Smart Home Integration Tips

The Deebot X2 Omni works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice commands. Link your ECOVACS account in the Alexa or Google Home app to start, pause, or dock the robot using voice. The ECOVACS HOME app supports scheduling by room, allowing you to set different cleaning times for different areas. You can also enable the "Do Not Disturb" mode for quiet hours and configure the OMNI Station to automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mops after each cleaning session.

Quick Troubleshooting

If the robot does not pair with the app, ensure you are using a 2.4 GHz network and that the robot is on and fully charged. If the mapping run misses rooms, manually drive the robot into those rooms using the app's remote control feature and then restart the mapping. If the mop pads do not get wet during mopping, check that the clean water tank in the OMNI Station is filled and that you have selected a mopping mode in the app. For suction or brush issues, flip the robot over and remove any tangled hair or debris from the main brush and side brush.
