What's in the Box
Your Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni package includes the robot vacuum and mop unit, the OMNI Station (auto-empty, auto-wash, and hot air drying dock), a pre-installed dust bag in the station, two rotating mop pads (pre-attached to the robot), a side brush (pre-installed), Ecovacs cleaning solution, the station's power cord, and a quick-start guide. The X9 Pro Omni features an integrated floor washer design with rotating mop pads that provide superior cleaning pressure compared to standard vibrating mop systems.
Prerequisites
Before setting up your Deebot X9 Pro Omni, ensure you have:
- A flat, hard-surface location near a wall outlet for the OMNI Station — allow at least 2 feet of clearance on each side and 3.5 feet in front for the robot to dock and undock smoothly
- Access to a water source for the clean water tank
- A home Wi-Fi network operating on the 2.4 GHz band (5 GHz is not supported by the robot)
- The ECOVACS HOME app installed on your iOS or Android device
- An ECOVACS account (free to create within the app)
Step-by-Step Setup
- Position the OMNI Station: Place the dock against a wall on hard flooring — tile, hardwood, or vinyl work best. Avoid carpet, as the mop washing and drying functions involve water. Plug the station into a wall outlet and power it on. The status indicators will light up.
- Fill the clean water tank: Remove the clean water tank from the rear of the station. Fill it with tap water to the max line and add Ecovacs cleaning solution to the designated compartment if desired. Reinsert the tank securely. Confirm the dirty water tank is empty and properly seated on the other side.
- Prepare the robot: Remove all packaging materials, protective films, and shipping locks from the Deebot X9 Pro Omni. Verify the side brush is attached and the two rotating mop pads are securely connected to the underside of the robot. Clear any protective inserts from the dustbin and brush compartments.
- Dock the robot for charging: Place the robot on the OMNI Station, aligning the charging contacts. The robot will begin charging automatically. A full charge takes approximately 3 to 4 hours — wait until fully charged before the first cleaning run for optimal mapping performance.
- Set up in the ECOVACS HOME app: Open the app, sign in, and tap "+" to add a new device. Select "Deebot X9 Pro Omni" from the product list. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter pairing mode — press and hold the auto button on the robot until it confirms with a tone.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will prompt you to select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Once the robot connects successfully, it will confirm with a voice prompt and appear as online in the app.
- Run the first mapping session: Start a cleaning cycle from the app. The X9 Pro Omni will use its LiDAR sensor and camera system to navigate and map your home. Open all doors to rooms you want mapped and remove any temporary obstacles from the floor. The first run prioritizes mapping accuracy.
- Customize the map: Once mapping is complete, review the floor plan in the ECOVACS HOME app. Name each room, set virtual boundaries (no-go and no-mop zones), and configure room-specific cleaning preferences including suction power, mop rotation speed, and water flow level.
Smart Home Integration Tips
The Deebot X9 Pro Omni works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Link your ECOVACS account through the respective voice assistant app to enable commands like "Start vacuuming" or "Clean the living room." In the ECOVACS HOME app, set automated schedules by room and day. Enable auto-empty, auto-wash, and hot air drying on the OMNI Station so the robot maintains itself between cleaning sessions. The app also supports multi-floor mapping if you carry the robot between levels — each floor gets its own saved map.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the robot fails to connect during setup, double-check that you are on a 2.4 GHz network and that the robot's firmware is up to date (the app will prompt you if an update is needed). If the map is missing rooms, run a targeted cleaning in the unmapped area and the robot will add it to the existing map. If the mop pads are not getting wet, verify the clean water tank is filled and seated correctly, and that a mopping mode is selected in the app. Replace mop pads when they show signs of wear — Ecovacs recommends every 30 to 60 days depending on usage frequency. Wipe the robot's charging contacts with a dry cloth if it fails to charge on the dock.
